With over 30 years of experience, Cornerstone Claim Service, in behalf of insurance carriers and self-insured organizations, investigates and evaluates third-party bodily injury and property damage claims made against carriers’ policyholders. If the results gleaned from a claim investigation are such that the claim should be paid, then, on the basis of the policyholder’s liability and the damages incurred by the claimant, an attempt is made to negotiate the claim to a conclusion. Contribution to the settlement is sought from a party other than the policyholder when that other party’s negligence contributed to the occurrence. Cornerstone Claim Service also works closely with defense and coverage counsel on coverage and liability analysis / defenses and on trial preparation of litigated claims. Cornerstone Claim Service also represents carriers at mediation and settlement conferences, and attends and monitors trials. We also conduct surveys of the damages associated with cargo claims.
